Summer
(if and when the warmth will ever descend on this godforsaken long winter)
Outfit: Zara jeans (or similar here or here), Repetto flats, Petit Bateau mariniere top (or similar here)
This is my spring/summer uniform. Don't get me wrong. I love fashion but I don't live and breathe it. Once I've worked out a daily uniform, I stick to it for the rest of the season. Yup, totally boring. Like I've said before, if I was a proper style blogger, I would've sacked myself a long time ago.

Autumn (Fall)/Winter
Outfit: Etoile Isabel Marant Kady leather jacket (similar here), Zara jeans (or similar here), Petit Bateau top (similar here), ankle boots, Christys' Harriet fedora and Louis Vuitton 35cm Speedy Bandouliere
Smart Casual
Outfit: Rag & Bone tuxedo blazer (similar here), Uniqlo silk shirt, Zara jeans (or similar here), Halogen wedges, Hermes Kelly 28cm
It's been a year and I'm still in love with boyfriend jeans. Yes, it's winter and one should really be more denim appropriate but hey, these bulge friendly jeans do not accentuate muffin tops nor less than stellar thighs. I bought the "right" size (or otherwise known as the next size up) to accommodate gluttony. The only problem is they've stretched and will fall right off my hips if I don't put a belt on.
The plethora of boyfriend jeans available out there is just mind boggling. I don't enjoy shopping for jeans. I've found that the ones that flatter tend to be low to mid rise with slimmer legs and distressed enough without looking like they came out of the trash can. The hubs and daughter are still shaking their heads whenever I wear these out. They can't quite grasp the concept of "distressed". Fashion IS personal. So there.
I'm getting rather bored of my own personal style so let's pick your brain instead for inspiration. How do you wear yours?
*I don't have any boyfriend jeans. Tsk. Sorry, still battling jet lag!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any boyfriend jeans. :P I do however liked how you styled the 3 outfits, with the 2nd being my favorite! :)
DeleteLove all of these looks! I would happily wear all three, especially the last one. ;) I could never quite find the right fit for boyfriend jeans. If the legs looked perfect, the waist was gigantic. I had a pair that I sadly let go of a while back, but your post makes me want to hunt for another.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Love your all your looks here with the boyfriend jeans, I myself am such a jean addict that if I'm not in those, I'll be in skinnys, straights and occasionally flares! I love a leather biker or tailored jacket with them and a stylsih ankle boot-job done for all year round dressing, although I will break out into florals and dresses come summer!
ReplyDeleteI love my BF jeans! Besides the cute ways you style them, Ialso wear them with a long, loose Equipment-type silk blouse, fur vest and wedges or with my Superga sneakers and a fitted Jrew sweatshirt with bracelet sleeves and a Military jacket!
ReplyDeleteI will cry if these truly go "out of style." I'll be the last one still wearing them!!!
You look gorgeous in them, I tried them but nop, I think I'm just a bit too old or maybe it's that my hair's too 'done" my top half didn't match my bottom half anyway but I really like them on others.
ReplyDeleteAll three outfits are equally classic! I love the first one most though! I haven`t been too lucky with boyfriend jeans but I found a pair once at the GAP, the style is called "Sexy Boyfriend" and I think that would be more for me. I would wear very similar outfits as you did or perhaps either pointed toe heels to dress the look up a little more for a night out perhaps or maybe with wedge espadrilles. You look great in all three outfits!
ReplyDeleteI just found my perfect pair of boyfriend jeans and I love them for all manner of casual outfits! I actually also like the look of boyfriend jeans and heels, which I'm hoping to try once the weather gets warmer.

I have found boyfriend jeans a little puzzling, since to be honest, in most of the posts that I have seen they make great looking ladies look awful. However I really like outfit number two, it looks fab, easy to wear, comfortable, funky and..nice. Unfortunately I can't do black leather jackets as I look like Arnie in Terminator (I am inverse triangle shape).
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the versatility of boyfriend jeans and these three looks showcase it so well! They're so easy to dress up or down and mix and match and you're looking so stylish in all three. :)

I loveee boyfriend jeans, you cant beat them! I really love each way you have styled your jeans, really great post. :)
ReplyDeleteTake care,

I hate jean shopping too, it's the worst and I somehow always manage to pick the days when it is boiling hot. I love the three different bf jeans looks on you, and yay for some more selfie shots! I don't own a pair myself, not sure I would suit them but you really pull them off. I'm not sure which is my favourite.x
ReplyDeleteOh I ADORE boyfriend jeans on you and Sue - you just totally suit them. After meeting on Saturday and seeing you both rock them, I tried on two pairs in Guildford...sigh....wasn't good. However, loving your three photos here and it has given me inspiration to look again and try styling like you have here. Have spotted a gorgeous Warehouse pair on ASOS on your link above. I shall give them another try and report back...wish me luck :) Avx
ReplyDeleteAvril, if I have long skinny legs like yours, I'd wear skinny jeans EVERYDAY. Better still, I would just parade in mini skirt and flash my legs at everyone. Seriously.
DeleteYou have just converted me to boyfriend jeans! They really suit you, I love the way you styled it! :)

Thanks, Louise! They camouflage bulges every well :P
DeleteI'm sorry but I wasn't looking at your jeans - but the Hermes - she's a beaut! And don't you dare spray that Louis! x
ReplyDeleteNatalie, I think having forked out that much for what's essentially canvas(!!), I should really spray my own initials to replace the LVs dotted all over the bag!
Deletelove your take on boyfriend jeans marlene.. second look my fave and oh that rag and bone tuxedo blazer is perfection!!
ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
Love all three looks. I aspire to the second one but in reality will be wearing the first one. The Uniqlo shirt looks really good and the silk does look nice and heavy. Drat. Missed that one - how could I? I was the one who pointed it out in the first place!
ReplyDeleteI only have one pair and they are very baggie, the current elliott dad jeans, plus I think I'm off the distressed look for older women so need to look out for some without that x
ReplyDeleteLove all three looks! I think you can easily see me wearing the exact same look as the first one! Oh well, the second and third look would also suit me... :)
ReplyDeletei love love love all 3 looks. you look so chic and effortless! :) as you know, i love me a cuffed jean...
ReplyDeletewhat kind of leather is your kelly?
Thank you so much! Likewise, I so love the cuffed jeans. Saved me a bundle in alteration costs. My Kelly's togo. I've brought it out in rain and snow and it's just so easy to look after.
DeleteTotally in love with your looks!! ALL of them! I can't seem to get enough of bf jeans! So easy and comfy! I love me a few holes in them, too!! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm lusting after your bags!!
I cant tell you how much I love your outfits! The uniqlo silk shirt looks lovely! I hope they carry it in Singapore.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking around for a pair of boyfriend jeans but to no avail.. Youe look nicely distressed!
Love all three looks! Bf jeans in my opinion rock and I love how you've styled them. So wearable and chic. Comfort in denim. Does it get any better :)

Boyfriend jeans are the best, i love your summer style of them, breton tees are what i live in! xx
ReplyDeleteYou styled them perfectly! I'm surprised that I've never worn my leather jacket and boyfriend jeans together despite the fact that those two items live side by side in my wardrobe. Lately I've been wearing mine a lot with tight fitted turtlenecks and some sort of jumper tied around the waist to hide the inevitable saggy boyfriend jean bum.
