Ever since I started this blog to keep the family back home informed about our adventures here in the UK, I've met so many like-minded individuals with similar interests. The support from my readers and fellow bloggers have been immense. It could be a word of encouragement, an email or a useful tip but all this brought together a sense of community which is growing by the day. So thank you all so much for following my blog.
Jamie-Lee of Mademoiselle

Jamie-Lee is my latest girl crush. It's not just because she's my home girl (she's a Kiwi based in Wellington, NZ). I truly dig her style. She's a fan of muted colors, Alexander Wang, Karen Walker, Equipment, Helmut Lang and Proenza Schouler bags but she's not above mixing and matching designer pieces with clothes from Asos, Zara, Supre and Topshop.
I've been having serious Karen Walker withdrawal ever since moving to the UK so her blog provides me with an outlet to satiate the hunger. Her style reminds me of the cool girls in Paris. How should I describe it? The understated make up, nonchalant and effortless but totally chic style. Jamie-Lee's doing a 30 for 30 challenge at the moment which involves pairing 30 pieces (that includes shoes, btw) in multiple ways during a one month period. So far, she's doing incredibly well.
Lucent Imagery

Most people equate being good at photography with owning a fancy camera. What about being a fantastic photographer when you're legally blind? I have difficulty trying to not walk into walls when I'm without my glasses but I can't imagine what it must be like to live without good eyesight. In fact, I've ran smack head first into a heavy door while wearing my glasses.Yet, she is full of gratitude for the blessings in her life. She's undaunted by her challenges ahead of her and looks at life with a glass half full attitude. What an inspiration! Check out her photos and mouthwatering recipes here.
Sew Petite Gal
I've been following SPG for quite sometime now. She's a mom of 2, works full time, runs a blog and makes her own jewelry and clothes. Whew! I think that just about covers it. I often marvel at her ability to turn a dress into a top or making anything from scratch. Right now, I've just about mastered hemming my own pants. Riiiiight. That might be an exaggeration seeing that I've only ever exercised my newfound skill once. I love her refreshingly honest reviews of J Crew clothes in the fitting room. She has saved my neck a few times as I find it hard to gauge the sizes or fit as there isn't a store here in the UK yet.

Oh my goodness, I'm so honoured and happy to be featured in this post! I've always enjoyed your pass it forward posts for introducing me to other wonderful blogs. But I also like them for your generosity of words and support to other bloggers. Thank you so much for including me, this is a wonderful surprise. Your words have me sitting here grinning when I should be cleaning up after our guests who just left here after a spontaneous casual Friday dinner. Ah, that can wait a few more minutes while I enjoy this moment! :)
