What does a Scot, a French and an American have in common? Impeccable taste. Innate elegance. These three ladies are sophisticated from the top of their immaculate hairstyle right down to their classy heels.Their polished and ladylike style is something I'd love to emulate one day if I wasn't so clumsy and a tomboy.
Emma of Emma's Diary
Emma has only turned 18 recently and lives in South of France. Hard to believe isn't it? I don't mean that she looks older but her style is so refined for someone in her late teens. A far cry from what the kind of going out attire I normally see amongst the young adults here in the UK. Never garish but always understated and classy. By comparison, I was living in my tatty sweatsuit and sneakers up until I was in my early 20s. She's wise beyond her years and a sweetheart to chat to online.
Lindsay of Un Petit Bijou
Lindsay is a New Yorker but could easily be classified as a global citizen, having lived in several countries. Reading her posts is akin to relishing a book of beautiful poetry while snuggling in a Hermes blanket in front of the fireplace. She has opened my eyes to the world of couture and high end fashion. I've gained a new level of appreciation for them since. Her kindness radiates through her words whether it's replying to comments, tweets or emails.
Tabitha of Bourbon & Pearls
Tabitha is 48 and a decade older than I BUT looks far FAR younger. Yes, I'm rather envious if you haven't detected that from my very first sentence. We bonded and commiserated over our abysmal apple figure and our love for Fortum and Mason, not that you could tell from her gorgeous hot bod. Never one to take herself seriously. She's fun, down to earth and cracks the funniest jokes. I've been known to have tears running down my eyes and screeching with laughter when I read her posts. Yeah, the hubs thought I'd gone mad but it's just Tabitha, being her witty self.

Love this post, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAll three ladies are just fabulous!
You can come hang out on my couch any night!
ReplyDeleteWow the other two are so elegant, thank you for putting me in such good company.
All 3 have impeccable style & thanks for giving me some new blogs to follow! I really appreciate this kind of style on other people, but it's not for me, I'm such a hopeless tomboy too! I think Tabitha of Bourbon & Pearls might be my favourite here though, I love how effortless her style is & the Breton striped dress is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch stylish and sophisticated ladies! Thanks for the intro!
ReplyDeleteRowena @ rolala loves
They all look and sound incredibly lovely! It's so fun discovering new blogs through your site every Friday!

All have fabulous taste and Tabitha is cheeky and witty which makes her so much fun. I've been to have a look at hers and Emma's site previously but Lindsay's is a new one to me. Thanks for introducing and have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 ladies seem lovely. I love Lindsay's blog. She's a very talented writer, which is hard to find in a blog. I find (even in magazines) it's hard to find writing about style that seems substantial and intelligent. i like that she's able to pull it off. I would be jealous because I want to be at fashion week too, but you're right she's just so sweet and lovely. Can't wait to look at Tabitha and Emma's blogs. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more. Her blog really stands out from the rest (mine included!) thanks to her beautiful writing.
DeleteI always read Tabitha's blog but seriously I didn't know she was an apple shape, with a figure like her's its not possible! Unlike me with my middle aged spread!
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe that too. Mine's the REAL apple shape.
DeleteVery cool, I'll check them out, especially Tabitha's blog...
ReplyDelete- Aliya :)
I don't comment much but, I discovered your fab blog through Lindsay's blogroll so this post is all of the wonderful things about the web coming full circle. I've been reading Lindsay's blog from the start and love it. It's so well thought out from the images to the writing, she's flawless. She has an enviable Alaia dress/skirt collection and was so kind in working with the house directly to track down an item for me. Will check out the others too.
ReplyDeleteJane, I'm humbled by your kind words. I couldn't agree more with you regarding Lindsay's blog. If I could use two words to summarize her, it'd be kind and elegant.
DeleteSuch a lovely blog you have! Hugs from another globe trotter, now in Canada, formerly Paris...
ReplyDeleteSusu, thank you for dropping by and commenting. I adore Paris! I would gladly live there if I could only speak French.
DeleteThe 2 blogs I didn't know of, but I love Bourbon & Pearls I think she has amazing style!

Marlene! Thank you for your sweet words on my blog. It was such a nice thing to wake up to. I always appreciate your thoughtful comments and encouraging words. It's so nice to see such positivity and encouragement in the blog world, so thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for putting me in such wonderful company. Both ladies are stunning and wit and a sense of humor are the best attributes a girl can have:)
Mmm! I love the lace on the first dress! So sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteBack when I was 20, I thought I would look better with "grown up clothes". I ended up looking like a granny... I used to follow Emma ... but now I prefer following blogs like Tabitha's. You can feel she's well in her shoes and clothes !
ReplyDeleteHow brilliant are these blogs! Such a great mix as well. I'm addicted to the Friday posts.
