Fold your 90cm silk scarf 5 times as shown above. It doesn't have to be perfectly folded nor do the corners have to be aligned.

Now hold one end of the scarf and use your other hand and fingers to twist and turn. Make sure the twists are tight. Bring both ends together and tie a knot.
Voila! You've got yourself a hand-made necklace.
Thanks for the tutorial M!! I've never worn my scarf like this!! :)

Thank you for the tutorial. This is the type of thing I would tie a million times trying to make it 'perfect.'
ReplyDeleteI'm helpless with my scarves so this tutorial is super helpful! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou made it look so easy, i am fired up to give it a try. I think this twist look is perfect to wear with pants, it gives that tomboy-ish look.
ReplyDeleteWow you wear US size 4 in shoes? Thought my feet are small and i have difficulty finding shoes in my size. I guess there are more selection of shoes for tiny feet in Europe perhaps.
Awesome tutorial! I can't wait to try it out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great twist on a classic accessory! :)
ReplyDeleteI will do this! (Just not with an Hermes but a Jean Patout scarf). Never seen this twist before you posted about it. Only the little round version, so far.
