Objects of desire....Handbags Part 2

Friday 16 April 2010
I thought I'd take a break from travelogues and talk about my other favorite topic. BAGS!

Bottega Veneta

I'm a huge fan of Bottega Veneta's leather woven bags. No logos, studs or grommets in sight. One can't fault the workmanship and quality of their bags. And the leather. *sigh* It's so supple, soft and smooth. I have their zip around wallet which is large enough to fit all my receipts, cards, cash including a pen and my iPhone. It looks good enough to double as a clutch.

Their "The Knot" minaudiere has been around for a number of years and continues to be extremely popular. Here's a fun color.

I love the Ferro Intrecciato Napa Umbria Roma bag. The lovely blueish-dark grey shade is perfect as a neutral which is a nice change from the usual black.  There are two different compartments as well as a zipped to keep your stuff from falling out. There's an additional pocket to hold your cellphone. Don't you just hate it when the phone rings and you're frantically digging in the handbag trying to find the darn thing! The folks at Bottega Veneta even thought of making the straps adjustable.
