I've been blindsided by Isabel Marant for the past few years but lately, I've started to remember my first love - Vanessa Bruno. She's completely under-rated but year on year, produces some of the most beautiful pieces. Her collections are elegant but with a contemporary twist. Both the coat (number 1) and jacket (number 4) are substantially reduced (60-70%).

You'll notice that I rarely feature a lot of bags here. I guess it's years of touching bags that make me even fussier about the quality and workmanship. I like this Saint Laurent tote bag which is a classic and not something that will go out of fashion anytime soon - an important fact if you're spending a lot of money.

I'm slightly obsessed with trainers right now. It's the current trend that I'm embracing wholeheartedly. I'm not one to go all out with neon shoes so something like these Nike Lunar Knit that's understated but still eye-catching in a subtle way ticks all the boxes.

These Church's loafers are handmade, a process which takes 6-8 weeks. Though they've been bought over by the Prada guys, most of their shoes are still made in England using traditional artisanal techniques, something which is becoming a lost art these days.

I'm very very tempted by these K. Jacques St Tropez. They're an eye popping £55.50 after a massive 70% reduction. It doesn't matter that I've got plenty of similar sandals and we rarely get the sun over here........

  1. Love your selection! Especially the Vanessa Bruno items, the Saint Laurent bag and sandals are my favorites! I think they are all classic items you can wear for many years.

    1. Thanks, Kayin. I can't bear forking out so much money for something that will be redundant in a few short months.

  2. Lovely picks. I didn't know that Prada had bought out Church's shoes. Might explain why some of the styling has changed somewhat from the more traditional looks which I love. And I had a snoop round to see if I could find you any size 2 trainers anywhere - errmm no. Do you have any relatives in Hong Kong where they must cater for smaller feet?

    1. No relatives but I've got friends in Hong Kong. Might have to beg if they can find me a pair. I'll keep looking here and hopefully, one turns up. Why can't they keep up with the demand??!

    2. I forgot to mention that Prada owns the majority share but sold a 40 something % stake to a private venture not too long ago. All these ateliers are slowly being snapped up by big conglomerates.

  3. I love the Vanessa Bruno coat--and I have to confess, wonderful as the Isabel Marant designs are, I consistently prefer Vanessa Bruno's. Too bad that coat is sold out--what a great deal for a beautiful piece. :-(

  4. I love the bag, a grey bag is on my everlasting wish list. I adore that Vanessa Bruno Jacket, what a reduction and my size is still available but I have no funds available for it....... bummer!!!
