The holiday season gave me a reprieve from the manic pace that I'm usually accustomed to. Which means lots of time to surf the net. *grin* Just so you know, that's a hobby of mine. Here are some goodies that I've come across.
Fashion Bloggers: Here's what we love and hate about you (or, how to be the best blogger ever). Witty and so truthful that it hurts. I can only agree with everything that's been said.
If your vibrant and crisp photos look rubbish every time you upload to your blog, Facebook.......... wherever, here's why. And there's also a free action you can download to your Photoshop. I've been trialling it for a week and it's a lifesaver for a shutterbug like me.
Marie Claire editor, Trish Halpin's top 10 tips. Very interesting read about the fashion industry and journalism.
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? A desire to strike out on your own and become a successful ? Perhaps these success stories may help fuel your passion.
Right now, I'm hooked on Business of Fashion. These guys cover anything and everything about fashion.
Thanks for sharing the links, M! That aside, I love BoF for their insightful articles.
ReplyDeleteI was almost afraid to click on that first link but I did and I do agree also. Good summary! Off now to read the other links. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! x
ReplyDeleteI read the article about fashion bloggers - yes, very witty - very truthful. I agree with everything the girl said. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave you read the Fashion Law before? I tried to get into the Business of Fashion but I find TFL a bit more light hearted/easy reading!
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't, Jamie-Lee. I'll go and check it out now.
DeleteI love it!!!

Thank you for the links! I definitely agree with the fashion blogger dos and don'ts. While I'm somewhat private and don't do outfit posts, I do feature finds like a coveted, so worth it pair of Prada pumps but balance it with cool basics from Uniqlo and Gap as well. Good photos are a must and i'm also glad I'm getting better at that.
ReplyDeleteOh and it is SO refreshing to find a fashion editor that dresses in high and low basics and doesn't have to be in couture daily!
