Remember that sneak peek of Linda's home last week? Thankfully, she capitulated after I pleaded my case. Yes, I begged and bombarded her with text messages. I've been known to chase a friend down to photograph their outfit. I'm surprised I still have friends.............

Little did I know that once upon a time, Linda was an interior designer buyer. I shouldn't be surprised because her individuality shone through the decor including the whimsical knick knacks she'd picked up here and there. I held my first ever Chinese cooking lesson in her kitchen and it was a dream to work in. There were big open spaces and lots of natural light which gave the impression that the house was larger than it actually was. It looked cozy and lived in instead of a showroom. Just the way I'd like my dream home to be.

    1. You're absolutely right. It's nice to see pops of colors especially for those who live in England where it's grey everyday of the year!

  2. I love people who have a vision and can translate this so well in to their homes - the mix of the old with the new. Lots of interest and she has such an eye for colour. You really do get to meet such interesting people!

    1. I'm lucky that I have friends who are in the creative field. They're an inspiration because I'm simply not wired that way.

  3. Love Linda's house. (Esp the juxtaposition of vintage metal toaster on a gleaming wood countertop. Beautiful) As a decades long collector of colored vintage glass items from thrifts or Ebay, I appreciate her aesthetic. Nothing pops better among simple neutral furniture pieces and white walls than colored glass. Much more personal than an expensive designer decorated homes.

    1. I know what you mean. Nothing's too precious but her aesthetic will draws the eye to the decoration.

  5. What a gorgeous home - I wish I could achieve that balance of homely with style...I tend to go for the 'shove everything into a drawer' approach as my house just looks messy when I leave stuff on on sideboards etc..sigh :)

  6. This is beautiful! I love the bright pops of colour but that it is also grounded in neutrals. I really like the grey chair she has as well. The kitchen is adorable and I'm seriously eying up that little Lindt bear sitting on the counter. Yummy.

  8. Very inspiring home décor. I'm in profound confusion about what I want to do with my home right now. I want to get rid of everything though I know it's not smart... Unlike clothes which are easily returnable/refundable, a decision about furniture is rather more complicated and often long-term investment.

    1. Do tell. I regretted buying darker colored furniture and then realized it's a pain getting rid of them. I'll just make do now but yes, you're right. Furniture buying is far more complicated.
