I took these photos before Christmas and promptly forgot about them. I was a lot more dignified on my third visit to Mount St. I've learned to carefully rearrange my face every now and then so that I don't look like a veritable idiot who gawped at every Maserati and Bentley that zipped past. I was surprised the doorman at The Connaught didn't chase me away as I kept shooting the hotel hoping to capture the glamorous clientele that stepped through their front door.

I'm still in awe of the posh surroundings where luxury is ever so glaringly obvious. I've walked passed Goyard on several occasions and tried to peek through their glass window. One of these days, I'll have to venture in to have a closer look at their bags.

  1. I loved staying at the Connaught, they have Burberry trenches hanging in the wardrobes for inclement weather - fabulous! It's lovely round there, did you see the butcher shop? The most beautiful butcher shop ever. We looked at at a flat for sale above the shops ( just to look, we couldn't afford a brick in London) what a gasp moment it was, flat, big flat but above shops, posh shops - something like 2.5 million.

    1. WHOA! That's insane!! I know Mayfair area is considered prime real estate and perhaps the most expensive in London but £9.7m for a flat is mad!

  4. Did you get anything from Goyard? One of these days,I'll have to have either coffee or afternoon tea at The Connaught. Just for the experience.

  5. That's the road I often park in when I go to the West End after parking restrictions are finished.
I used to work in Berkeley Square for a year, just round the corner. It's a very interesting area.

  6. We walked through this street in October, whoa. Those real estate prices! We too enjoyed spotting the cars, discovering the cute park square. I think I took a photo of the same red brick building!
