Pass It Forward: 3 Bloggers

Friday 10 August 2012
Just before I launch into this week's line up for Pass It Forward series, I'd like to apologize for the delay in responding to emails and comments. I've been struggling to keep up with my blog reading as well. Yes, it's the summer holidays - the words that all parents dread.  While we get a respite from the chaotic school runs in the morning, we have 6 weeks of quality time with our darling kids. The very same rugrats that we love so dearly that are currently latched on to us like leeches. Did I say, 6 whole weeks?

Marta of Fashion Caramel

Marta hails from Spain Portugal but lives in Belgium. She's a mom, wife, blogger and holds down a job. I don't know how she does it all. In addition, she looks damn good. This is one yummy mommy. I was hooked from the minute I accidentally stumbled upon her blog, dazed by the rocker chic style that she churns out every week.

Marta has a knack for high-low combination outfits. She mixes pieces from Zara or H&M with Helmut Lang, Acne or Isabel Marant with ease and never fails to wow her audience. She's down to earth, warm and she's gorgeous to boot.

Sophie  of Les Anti-Modernes

Sophie is an American but currently works as a freelance writer and consultant in Shanghai. She takes on a minimalist approach and concentrates on building a capsule wardrobe. Her topics are riveting and pragmatic, so much so that I spent the past 3 days going through her entire archive. I'm sure she's probably thinking that she has an online stalker.

Jin of Her Imajination

Her aptly named blog, Her Imajination is a display of stunning visual images encased in a professional layout. The very first time I laid eyes on her blog, I thought Jin merely copied and pasted photos from a magazine before it occurred to me that it wasn't a model in the shots, it was her!

She pulls off a relaxed and easy Californian style with panache and sophistication. Jin has a penchant for beautiful designer bags and shoes, both afflictions which I can completely identify with.

  1. Sophie's blog is fascinating. Hers was one of the first that caught my eye when I was looking for inspiration to "pare" down my wardrobe. However, I have come to realise that try as I might, I cannot cull effectively.

Marta is lovely and I will check out Jin. She looks stunning. Sigh.

  12. Oh Marlene, I have to say that this feature was a wonderful surprise. I was still on holidays and couldn't check the detailed post but saw the feature on twitter. You're the sweetest and I'm very honored with your description of me and my blog. I'll be checking out the other two as well. Just one small thing, I'm from Portugal, not Spain ;) As for the holidays, my kids will be with my parents for the next two weeks so even though I'll be working I feel on holidays already :))) but good luck to you ;) xx
