You know the song "A Whole New World" that was played when Aladdin took a very sheltered Princess Jasmine who has never really left the palace gates on a carpet ride? She was wonderstruck by the view, utterly agog when she saw the stupendous sight below for the very first time? I know this sounds rather cheesy but it's the same way how blogs have opened my eyes to a world other than mine.
Anne Mullier of Ritournelle
Anne is French but lives in New York City. She works in the beauty industry. Anne's blog, Ritournelle is akin to the Liberty store. Like the world's best department store whose carefully edited collections are appealing, eclectic and varied, her blog is no different. For one, the contents of her blog never cease to amaze me. She picks the most interesting topics to cover. It may be Schiaparelli one day or the history of Versailles the next. Her writing is riveting and draws you right in.
Shu Han of Mummy, I can cook
Shu Han is a Singaporean student studying graphic design at the prestigious Saint Martins Central in London. She's talented, creative and cooks like a dream. She is passionate about food. I've been following her blog for a year now and she just blows me away with her culinary know-how. I've lived away from Asia for more than half my life. When the urge for a traditional nyonya (Malay-Chinese cuisine) dish hits, I would have to refer to her blog. She has some of the most authentic Singaporean/Malaysian recipes I've ever seen. She has also featured some of the most sublime western fares if the Asian cuisine isn't your kind of thing.
Sam of Style of Sam
I got to know Sam some years ago on the Purse Forum where the Hermes addicts would gather and wax poetically about the brand. We started blogging about the same time and her blog has grown from strength to strength ever since. Sam is a pharmacist and lives in the U.S with her husband and a menagerie of canines. She's striking with the most fabulous hair ever. She's not only gorgeous but she is also a sweetheart. Friendly, approachable and down to earth would be the words I would describe her.
