1. Sandro Vestige Jacket €295
2. Comptoir des Cotonniers Cardigan €125
3. Comptoir des Cotonniers trench coat €225
4. IRO Haven tweed jacket £415
5. Etoile Isabel Marant Itha Jacket £275
6. Les Petites Leather Jacket €425
7. Ekyog Rosalia Jacket €205
8. Cotelac Spencer Nouveau Depart Jacket €275

Being a self professed Francophile, I'm influenced by French fashion. Their narrower and smaller fit suits my petite frame better. In addition, the French has a certain je ne sais quoi attitude to their clothes. The French style seems effortless. Nonchalant. As if they've just thrown together without much thought yet each piece work seamlessly with the other. I call this my "Chanel Jacket Week" as I waxed lyrical about my object of obsession. I've noticed plenty of cheaper alternatives particularly ones from the more affordable French lines.

  1. Oh how true, I should try that trench sometime, I have tried on every Burberry one going and the sleeves are always down at my fingertips and make me look like a trussed up escaped lunatic.

  2. What a great selection of jackets. I'm partial to Iro ones. They have a nice quality and fit but generally without a massive price tag. I love how you've picked up the more expensive ones in great vintage stores etc and got them for a steal. It's good to know we can have cheaper versions and the odd designer one for less than retail.

  7. Great post, thanks for researching this most interesting of subjects so well.
For me it would be Isabel Marant Etoile every time IF she still did the Fred type jacket like yours . I did manage to find a Fred on line , but sadly it turned out to be a fake , I suspected this and got it checked on TPF thank goodness.
I keep looking , but £300 is a lot unless one loves a jacket .
    Bring back Fred !
