Zadig & Voltaire Sweater

Tuesday 20 December 2011
My stash of Zadig et Voltaire clothes is growing albeit slowly as I tend to pick up a sweater here and a top there at their sales or outlet store. Yesterday, UPS came knocking to deliver the Madori sweater I'd ordered from their website. That'll teach me to be too hasty as the price came down again and this time they're offering free shipping (code: XMASGIFT). Pfffft....

On the flip side, the 100% merino wool is so soft even for someone like me who's usually allergic to wool. The narrower arm holes and the fit is fantastic for someone like me who has a petite frame. I've ordered the medium size as I prefer a more oversized fit.

I modeled for the hubby and Lil L. Hubby liked it but inquired, "haven't you got enough stripes?". Meanwhile, Lil L said, "mommy, is it new?". "Of course!" "mommy, it has holes everywhere!" "That's the design". Lil L listened with disbelief. "What?! They make new things look old?" *sigh*

  1. Men and Children! HAHAHAHA I love your sweater girl. You're going to get so much wear out of it. You can dress it up or down. Don't you hate when products are discounted or there's a special offer AFTER you've purchased it. So frustrating! Enjoy your sweater. :)

  5. Kim, it REALLY irks me when I purchase something and soon after, the item gets discounted even more. Grrrr.... I'm trying to be positive by saying yes, I'll get a lot of wear out of this sweater. Holes and all.

ShinyPrettyThings, yes, kids especially. They haven't learn to be tactful nor filter their thought processes. You haven't heard what Lil L had said on other occasions. NOT to be repeated.

Chicology, honesty is over-rated. Best to teach Lil L to be more tactful :) I just can't stop buying striped tops too.

Tabitha, Z&V clothes are overpriced but really cool. They have an outlet in Chelsea which pop in whenever I'm in town.

  9. what a quirky and sweet blog. One can never have too many well made Breton striped jumpers, although I do think Zadig & Voltaire can be super overpriced at times.
