I spent weeks researching for an affordable and comfortable bed for Little L. I pored over interior design books to get ideas. I searched for pretty 100% cotton bedsheets and duvet covers with a princess or fairy theme. Our friends love her bedroom. Her friends love spending hours in the room playing God knows what games. BUT my child prefers to sleep in this free cardboard box. The verdict: Don't spend any money on your kids. They don't appreciate it. The best things in life are free.
She is SOOOOOOO cute! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteSuch a precious photo!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like she's become quite attached to her " new bed " !!! Let's see for how long will the novelty wears off ... Hahaha :D
ReplyDeleteOmigosh- so cute. It's like that with kids, huh? You spend tons of money on the big toy that they want and all they want to do is play with the cardboard box. We bought my older son a fancy car bed, but sometimes he just wants to sleep on the floor, like he's 'camping'. Thanks for the post :)
ReplyDeleteaaww so cute! When I was a kid I was falling asleep under the kitchen table, didn't even need a card box...
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute - and sooo true!
ReplyDeleteomgosh this picture is SO FREAKIN' cute!! your daughter is so cute she looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteLinda & Kat, she can be so opinionated at times and drive me up the wall. But then she turns around and say "mommy, I love you".
ReplyDeleteMi, she still wouldn't let me throw out the tattered box!
Sharon, Little L would flip if we ever agreed to having a car bed. It's interesting isn't how kids think.
Lily, LOL. I guess anywhere that's a little dark and looks remotely comfortable can be a bed.
Lauraloo, we should save the money we spend on our kids and splurge on ourselves instead.
Lisa, thank you! Errr.... she's a ball of energy. The only time I have peace and quiet is when she's asleep.
That is such a sweet picture of your daughter!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words, Sam!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! ... and so true as well. Some of my best childhood memories are of my brothers and I getting into all kinds of trouble with things that were absolutely NOT the expensive toys my parents had bought us, haha.
