Strawberry Fare is one of the best, if not THE best dessert restaurant in New Zealand. They make the most divine Caramel and Hazelnut Torte. The base is made out of the most delicious butter shortcrust with hazelnut and caramel filling which melts in your mouth. I've been going to Strawberry Fare for the last 12 years and I've yet to be disappointed. It was the place to go after dinner and by 10pm, the place is packed.

Duck Confit. Vanilla & orange infused duck confit, thyme roasted potatoes, apple & currant chutney, salad

Simply Salmon. Hot smoked warm Akaroa salmon, salad greens, toasted ciabatta, caper& dill creme fraiche

Caramel & Hazelnut Torte. Please excuse the half eaten piece but I simply couldn't wait.

ReplyDeleteAkaroa salmon is fantastic. Steve at Vangionis in Akaroa did a fresh pasta & rocket dish with Akaroa salmon he smoked himself for one of the winter specials this year. It was simple & brilliant.
