Lanvin for H & M

Wednesday 3 November 2010
The designer collections for H & M are a bit of a hit and miss with me. I was sorely disappointed with the poor quality of Jimmy Choo collection for H & M. The PVC shoes were badly made and the plastic clutches looked cheap. Sonia Rykiel collection, on the other hand, was phenomenal. She'd obviously taken great care in choosing the best possible fabric for her designs. I regretted not buying more pieces from her collection.

I can't wait to see what Alber Elbaz has created for H & M. I've lusted after Lanvin RTW and accessories for years but can't afford the former. What I love about this amazing man is he designs for real women. His clothes are timeless and classy. They're wearable even years later unlike iconic pieces which can look dated rather quickly. I've got my eye on a couple of the dresses as well as both the gorgeous pink statement and pearl necklaces.

  1. Thank you for sharing the pictures. Love the last one so much.

Hope the real thing is as good as the campaign. BTW, I won't buy shoes from H&M.;-)

  2. The faux fur jacket looks fabulous in the photos. Fingers crossed, the actual collection is as good as it looks in the photos. Honestly, the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M was all hype. Horrible quality.
