Olivia Palermo & Topshop

Friday 9 July 2010
Lately, I've been enamored with Olivia Palermo's stylish outfits. She is a master at mixing high-end with High St brands. It helps that she's stunning and has the perfect accessory - her hunk of a boyfriend. She shops at Topshop A LOT. Most of her jackets, costume jewelry and heels are from there. I've never been a fan of Topshop but she's made me take a long hard look at the store again. Here are some of my favorites:

If Olivia Palermo can make Topshop clothes look this good, I ought to take another peek at their online store.  I'm not brave enough to venture inside their flagship store on Oxford St so this will have to do for now. You'll probably notice I've only looked at shoes. I'm slowly warming to their clothes.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this pair of heels from Topshop. Regan Plaited Strappy Sandals £70.
If you want to make a statement, this will literally stop traffic. Fiasco high leg Sandals £50
If you live in an old city like me where cobbled streets are the norm, wedges are more practical. No more worrying about heels getting caught between the stones. Waltz T Bar Espadrilles £65

  2. are you looking for designer or the high brand street? Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols are all having a sale. I prefer Selfridges (Tube: Bond St) because the store is a breeze to navigate. If you're looking for ballet flats, London Sole is a good place to look.

  3. i was at selfridges this afternoon n the designer shoes spoilt it for me bc after tt even russell & bromley's shoes looked cheap. even if i can afford (i don't) designer shoes, i can't take the height of heels these days. heels are high as ladders n i can just imagine twisting my ankles...where's london sole?

  4. I haven't worn heels since I left work except for the one time when I attended a friend's wedding. My Prive Louboutin nearly cut circulation to my toes!

I found French Sole which is very similar to London Sole. Here's the address in Chelsea:

    323 Kings Rd, SW3 5EP,

  5. Forgot to provide the phone number: 020 7351 1634.
I personally haven't worn them but friends swear by them. Bloch is another fantastic brand. How long are you going to be in London for? I'd love to catch up if you're still around this Saturday

  6. i'll leave sunday morning. i'll be shopping everyday so if you r anywhere near where i am, we can meet up. i'll get a phone card when my girl gets here--i usually leave these things to the kids. but er, what shoes will i wear to meet you, a person who wears louboutins?! i'm wearing slippers most of the time bc they r the more walk-friendly things.

  7. HA! I haven't worn my Louboutins since the wedding. Usually, it's just ballet flats and flip flops. There. Not that glamorous at all.

I've just sent you an email. I can meet you on Saturday wherever you are. Anyway, just send me an email with your plans.
