Sandals sandals sandals

Thursday 10 June 2010
I was floored to see so many different kind of jeweled and brightly colored sandals in Crete. They went for 12€ to hundreds of hundreds of euros. I saw women wearing simple summery dresses but   looked instantly glamorous paired with these stone embellished sandals. I'm still kicking myself for not getting more of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals at the On Pedder sale in Hong Kong so many years ago. At 75% off, it was a no brainer except this idiot decided to get two pair of heels that nearly dismembered her feet when worn. There's no doubt Giuseppe Zanotti is the undisputed master of the most exquisitely designed embellished sandals.

Net-a-porter.com £440. J'adore!!

www.giuseppezanottidesign.com "little owl" thongs £510

Whilst I like the look of gladiator sandals, I find that unless you're really tall, it's quite hard to pull off the look. Since I'm vertically challenged, these thongs tend to elongate my legs which is a godsend when I'm barely 5'2. I'm sick of my black/grey wardrobe so right now, I'm all about colors. I've found these cheaper options but how I wish they make them in my size. Oh well, for now they'll just have to be lovely eye candies.

Piperlime Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals $39.99

I'm a late bloomer. I've just discovered Sam Edelman sandals when I saw them in an exquisite shop in Chania, Crete. Gorgeous and so reasonably priced. Too bad they don't have them any smaller than size 36.

  1. Pretty. The Daley one is my favourite. I can't believe how expensive the Giuseppe ones are!

  2. I would buy the Daley in a heartbeat if they were in my size. I got used to buying discounted Zanottis but heck, these days they're expensive even during the sale.
